The Sonic Experience — live performance of the coming album trilogy that examines how the sounds of Nordic and Arctic landscapes can become narratives about identity, language, belonging, and the forces that shape us.
The concert is a solo performance for saxophone, voice, live electronics and video material captured during fieldwork.
In live performances I collaborate closely with sound designer Kristina Ringvold.

A timeless and intimate concert experience.
With Kristin Sevaldsen on saxophone and Lars A. Kvistum on grand piano, this acoustic duo offers evocative, lyrical music that blends elements of jazz, Norwegian folk traditions, and cinematic soundscapes. The performances are stripped down and honest – inviting the audience into a quiet, immersive space where every note breathes, and every silence matters.
Their critically acclaimed album Acoustic (Losen Records, 2018) has resonated with listeners across borders, praised for its delicate interplay and heartfelt expression.
Perfect for churches, small venues, and thoughtful festival settings, Acoustic is music made for listening – a gentle pause in the day, filled with presence, nuance, and room for reflection.
I collaborate with artists, filmmakers, curators and institutions who are interested in sound as an integral part of artistic expression.
My work is rooted in a listening-based, place-aware practice, and I’m especially drawn to collaborations that allow for depth, presence and artistic integrity.
I’m open to a small number of focused collaborations, such as:
– Original sound work for film, visual art and performance
– Co-creation where my sonic language becomes part of a larger work
– Commissioned and site-specific sound works for spaces, landscape or architecture
– Talks, workshops and mentoring related to listening, field recording and artistic process
If this resonates with your work, I would be glad to hear from you.
